Have loved reading your many receipes and other information. I’ve been learning alot!

    1. Jen

Thank you for the feedback Cheryl! Have a splendid day and thanks for reading my blog! 🙂

  2. Loretta

I love your blog! Thank you so much for all you do! That is my philosophy for food as well! Except I include zero refined sugar as it is poisonous!

    1. Jen

Thanks Loretta! So do you eat unrefined sugars such as raw honey, pure maple syrup, etc.?

      1. Loretta Smith

I would allow raw honey and pure maple syrup. The sweeteners I go to the most is coconut palm sugar and stevia

        1. Jen

Sounds like a great plan, Loretta! I do some raw honey and pure maple syrup but try not to overdo it. I love stevia and coconut sugar too in our smoothies and superfood lattes!

  3. Maria Fontaine

WOW, thanks for the recipes they are hard to find, the real ones that are beneficial for you!!

  4. Fred

    Good news!

  5. Rob

I’m not the cook in the house (for obvious reasons here :)) but i give some of your recipes to my 8 year old who loves to make them! Thank you!

  6. veronica

You make healthy eating look soooo good! 🙂

  7. Heather Petersen

I love what you do! I look forward to your recipes and healthy tips!

  8. Meli

Thanks Loretta. How can I find coconut oil that doesn’t taste very much like coconut. I love coconut however, the coconut flavor in the oil is off putting. I know it’s very healthy and I want to use more of it.

  9. Laurie Hagedorn

Your recipes all look so delicious. Can I order the food online?

    1. Jen

Hi Laurie! Pre-made meals aren’t available but the ingredients are available in a few of my “stores”.

      Iherb Pantry Staples
      Costco Pantry Staples
      Coop Pantry Staples
      Trader Joe Pantry Staples

      1. Laurie Hagedorn

Awesome, thanks! I checked it out and will return for more information later!

  10. Tina

Would you please explain: is there a difference between being “vegan” and “vegetarian”?

    1. Jen

Hi Tina! Vegan means absolutely no animal products or byproducts (no animal flesh, eggs, butter, cheese, etc.). Whereas a vegetarian doesn’t eat animal flesh but will consume byproducts (eggs, butter, cheese, etc.). Hope this helps!

  11. Dov Shapira

I know Chia seeds have omega 3
I thought they were taken for bowel movement

    1. Jen

Hi Dov! Chia seeds are great for regularity but also carry other benefits as well such as:

      1) lose weight without starving
      2) balance blood sugar
      3) relieve/reduce diverticulitis
      4) heart and cholesterol health
      5) sustained energy
      6) reduce food cravings

  12. Deborah

Health experts are finding out that the food we eat makes such a difference in our health. This is a great resource for finding recipes that are healthy and look great.

  13. Yvonne Brown

I would like to go “raw” one day!

    1. Jen

Hi Yvonne! I went 100% raw pretty quickly and in retrospect it was too much too fast. Now I’m 70% raw and love the flexibility and my body is responding well. What I usually recommend to my clients is to just pick one meal and figure out some raw alternatives and just go with that for awhile. Then add in raw snacks. Then maybe shift to changing one other meal down the road. The key is to keep it stress free because the benefits of the food can be diminished if we are stressed out about what we’re going to eat. Best to you!

  14. Todd

    Great recipes!!

  15. Yvonne

Uh, got to share that with a friend of mine!! She is always looking for Gluten Free recipes.

  16. Lyla Porter

Does your whole family eat like this? If so, was it hard to make those changes?

    1. Jen

Hi Lyla! Yes my husband, dog and I do eat like this! I was the first to make the major transitions and did so with gusto in 2009 when I knew it was absolutely necessary to get my life back health-wise. My husband took a little bit longer and had a slower integration period because he didn’t have any immediate health concerns. He is now fully integrated and loving the lifestyle. I’m going to be a doing an exposé feature on him soon so stay tuned! You won’t believe the before and after photos!
