Strawberry Daiquiri Smoothie

I hope you have all of these ingredients in your kitchen because this smoothie is so rich, decadent and delicious that I want you to enjoy it right now!  Kids and smoothie newbies will do flips over this smoothie recipe.  Trust me.  Plus the purplish pink is so pretty it gives me hope that spring may finally come!

You may read the following recipe and say, “Jen, there are no strawberries in the ingredient list…did you forget them in the recipe?”  To which I would reply, “No, I didn’t forget them but trust me this combo tastes just like a strawberry daiquiri for reasons beyond my knowing!”

When you have this smoothie in hand, picture yourself sipping on this luscious daiquiri in a beach chair as you bask in the sun rays and become enchanted by the rhythmic waves of the ocean.  Ahhh, right?

We make a lot of strawberry smoothies in our house. Never thought of making one without strawberries, tho!

I’m not a big fan of coconut, but this one seems very interesting and I’ll just have to give it a go.

Hi Christian. It doesn’t taste coconuty (is that a word?). It just brings a tropical flair to the smoothie! Enjoy!

This looks really delicious. I like the idea of storing in a mason jar to drink later.

    1. Jen

Yes, I love using glass mason jars. Out with the plastic!

  14. Patti

Sounds yummy! Any health benefits? Looks safe for diabetics?

    1. Jen

Hi Patti! Chia seeds are a great source of omega fatty acids. I would think the raspberries would be ok (low sugar fruit) but the pineapple may be questionable for diabetics. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog!

The purplish pink is pretty for sure, but I cant stop laughing thinking of Pepto Bismol, haha 🙂 But this dang thing is so healthy, you won’t need anything like that in your life 🙂

    1. Jen

Ha! Pepto Bismol ~ never crossed my mind! I used to take a lot of that before I cleaned up my diet! Never again! Thanks for stopping by!

  19. Deborah

I have everything other than the chia seeda. Can you buy those at the grocery store?

    1. Jen

Hi Deborah, I’m not sure if they carry them at commercial grocers but they are at Trader Joe’s, your local coops & online. Don’t skip on it because it really adds umph to the texture and keeps you filled up! Thanks!

  20. Patricia

Sounds and looks great. Will try it this weekend. For the comment from Deborah above on chia seed, our local Hyvee store has a health food section and they carry them. Thanks

    1. Jen

Hi Patricia! Hope you enjoy the recipe and thanks for the tip on the chia seeds!
