Chocolate Oatmeal Smoothie
Wow, I love this on-the-go oatmeal and it is packed with some good protein, fat and carbs to fuel the body. Most days my smoothies are packed with greens but occasionally it just doesn’t sound interesting to me. If you’re not a big fan of traditional oatmeal then try this concoction. The texture and taste are different than traditionally prepared oatmeal ~ it is more like a pudding texture. Did I mention you can have a smoothie that tastes like chocolate pudding for breakfast and it’s good for you? Okay, I think I’ve caught your attention now…onto the recipe, friends!

Chocolate Oatmeal Smoothie
-
2 cups unsweetened organic Earth Balance soy milk
-
-
-
dash of cinnamon
-
-
4-5 cubes ice
-
-
Optional: 1 ripe banana
Blend all ingredients in your Vitamix blender and serve. Yields 24 ounces of deliciousness! This would be 1 meal-size or 2 snack-size portions for me.

Since the 3 year old has been shouting in intervals all day today, “I want chocolate pudding!” – there’s a good chance I’ll put this to use in short order.

I love using oatmeal in my morning smoothie. I use almond milk rather than soy milk. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
